Nike: Clot Air Max 1 "Kiss Of Death (2021)"
Graphic Design
The objective of the graphics was to refresh and update the original Clot “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1’s and apply them to the sockliner, outsole, heel counter, and packaging.
"The original release came back in 2006 to celebrate the opening of China’s first sneaker boutique ACU. Effectively kicking off CLOT founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon‘s mission to bridge the East and the West, the shoe is centered around the ancient concept of “Qi.” Returning after 15 years, the 2021 CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” is once again centered around a mix of “Net/Deep Red/Orange Blazer.” The color scheme is expressed by suede with snakeskin and ostrich detailing, accented by references to the ancient Chinese art of pressure point reflexology. Aside from the patent snakeskin Swooshes, branding comes in the form of co-branded tongue tags, CLOT embroidery at the rear and reflexology chart insoles revealed by the transparent TPU. Paired with the bright orange midsoles are translucent rubber outsoles that map out the pressure points of the foot. The corresponding organs and parts of the body associated with the points are noted on the accompanying special shoebox. Take an official look at the 2021 CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” set to release sometime this March."
