The Hundreds x Timberland: “West Coast Trails”
Color & Materials
I worked on color ways and picked material with my fellow teammate Jae Lyu under the creative direction of Liz Yoon, Footwear Director for The Hundreds.
"Timberland has been at the forefront of creating innovative outdoor lifestyle gear for over forty years, inspiring generations to explore and discover more. Today, Timberland continues to outfit consumers with collections that reflect the brand’s rich heritage of craftsmanship, function, and style. Designed with form and function in mind, The Hundreds X Timberland West Coast Trails collection consists of a series of hiking boots constructed of abrasion-resistant premium leather, lightweight mesh, and a fully gusseted tongue for comfort.
Each boot in the collection has been carefully crafted with specific West Coast hiking destinations in mind during the design process. Utilizing the classic Timberland GT Scramble silhouette, each style from the three-piece collection is a direct reference to three hiking trails near the Pacific Ocean’s coast, from Southern California to Oregon.
The Burgundy GT Scramble is inspired by the hues of early morning sunrises that light the Anza Borrego Desert Trail in Southern California.
The Black GT Scramble’s color way is a nod the Lost Coast Trail of Northern California’s black sand beaches—which is why this style features a waterproof leather upper and membrane for creek and high tide ocean crossing.
The Navy GT Scramble represents the Timberline Trail in Oregon, with its redwoods and deep evergreen trees echoed in the tan/navy color way. The boot features premium leather and lightweight mesh for all day hiking comfort."
